Food Off The Grid

We love food! We're always experimenting with using up leftovers in new ways, frugal recipes, cooking on wood stoves, big game recipes, and best bets for cooking over campfires.

Recently we put in a new five-burner propane cooktop, and we also have two propane wall ovens. Yet whenever we have the chance, we'd rather cook on our wood stove. And when we lived in northern Ontario, we had the good fortune to buy a cabin that came with an antique wood-burning cook stove - an awesome find for sure.
